What Our Clients Say About Poppy Cottage
‘Poppy Limited have been so helpful ensuring Sarah’s daily life is run to the best possible standard. Having a waking night has ensured there is no repeat of hoarding and they arrange Sarah’s home wonderfully. There was so many things brought from her previous home which one wonders how it fitted in a one bed flat. Sarah is so much happier at Poppy Ltd and she feels she has a home’

“My son came to you in June 2022 we had to move him away from a service that had been his home for 6/7 years. When he came to you, we as a family were very worried and concerned for his well-being. Then the social worker recommended Poppy Cottage to us, well what a life changing moment, we went to see Poppy Cottage and instantly felt comfortable with the staff and the other residents that he was going to be sharing his home with. Since that time our son has been put on a very mild medication which has calmed him down, he has been going out with the other residents and carers he is a changed man he has had his first ever Blood Test, also an injection for Covid, his Diabetes is under control.
He has also lost weight that is all due to the careful and watchful eye of the carers at Poppy Cottage. We have only one regret we wish we would have found you sooner.
From a very happy and content set of parents”

"Just thought I would let you know that I took John horse riding this morning. Our Monday ritual is to ride, then get Wenzels for lunch, stay home for the afternoon and then bring him back for dinner time. Today, after he had his lunch, he wanted to return to Poppy straight away. I asked if it was because he was tired or because he liked it there................'I like it there he said'. I am just so delighted how he is feeling about being down there now. He has turned a HUGE corner! Again, all down to the staff..."

"We are very happy with the support Noel receives. He is happy with the support and all of the staff who support him. He enjoys outings and joining in activities Poppy Cottage have arranged with others who are supported. He has made friends with his housemates. He has been very well looked after and kept safe throughout the awful Covid-19 pandemic. It has been a great help to us knowing that he is supported so well when we couldn't be there".

"My son's property is always spotless and well maintained. I fought the council for many months to get my son a place at Poppy Cottage, as many other supported living dwellings we visited did not come close to what Poppy had to offer. He has a fabulous Key Worker who has spent a lot of time getting to know him well and I trust her implicitly. My son's recent activities are golf, bowling, exercise classes, trampolining, going to the cinema, adventure playgrounds, boating in Windsor and many more. On bad weather days, the staff join in with computer or board games and practice life skills like cooking.
There is just no other supported living facility in my area/borough that I would be in any way shape or form, happy to place my son"

“I picked up Rosie around 2.30 today from the cottage. The sun was shining, the house looked tidy and Rosie and Kate were sitting outside in the shade. It was a beautiful day. Both of them looked so well groomed and well cared for. Kate looked so lovely. She’d had her hair all tidied, was sitting in her chair , propped up with comfy cushions. Staff were chatting to them both.. just a lovely conversation. I wished CQC could have just walked in on the four of them as they were. I felt you should know how lovely it was to see that today. It’s easy to write about the bad things, but you should know when there is outstanding care going on too. Much appreciated and sincere thanks to those two carers.
